How to get to Bayua Beach Inn

It is an easy bus ride from Bukittingi, or Padang, to Bayua Beach Inn, some 500 m West of Bayur on the road around Lake Maninjau. (Ask the driver to stop at the entrance. Then follow the footpath across the rice paddy).

From Bukittingi:

At Bukittingi bus terminal, take a Seroja, Harmoni or Harmonis bus for the 1½ hr trip to Bayua Beach Inn, some 500 m beyond Bayur. The young at heart can get off at Matur, take an Oplet to Puncak Lawang, and follow the jungle track for a 2½ hr trek down to Bayur.

From Padang:

At the Padang Bus terminal, take a Dagang Pesisir or Harmoni bus for the 4 hr trip to Bayua Beach Inn (in this case some 500 m before reaching Bayur).
